Former Builder Sells 700+ Precast Concrete Systems
NEW HOLLAND, PA. – Dave Box is every manufacturer’s dream. Having worked for 17 years as a builder, Box liked using concrete precast foundation systems so much that he gave up his business and went to work for the foundation system manufacturer. Twelve years later, he’s sold more than 700 precast foundation systems at Superior Walls of North Carolina.
“Dave came to us knowledgeable and enthusiastic about our product,” says Dave Varner, president of Superior Walls of North Carolina. “He’s an asset because he’s experienced everything our builder customers have in the field and he understands what they need to build a successful project.”
According to Box, moving from being a builder to working with builders was a natural progression in his career. “I like to run my own business, and Superior Walls basically lets me do that,” says Box. “The harder I work, the better the return. It’s all what you make of it.”
Box has indeed been working hard. He sells an average of 60 Superior Walls basement systems to builders each year, with his best sales year selling 110 foundation systems.
“I’ve personally built six homes with these precast walls, so I know how efficient they are,” says Box. “In one day our certified team can install the complete foundation, so the builder can start construction of the house the very next day. That’s impressive and cost-efficient for a builder.”
Over the past dozen years Box has some stand-out favorite projects constructed with Superior Walls of North Carolina. “There was a horse barn constructed in 2009 using an Above Grade wall system and a three-story stack home made with our panels that are very impressive,” says Box. “I’ve also worked on a BP/Subway Quick Stop, dozens of residential projects and my own personal home.
